The Church Hall is adjacent to the church on the same site, at the corner of Boundary Rd and Holden Crescent. There is free on street parking in Holden Crescent. It has a prominent location, and offers basic facilities, with the two following rooms for hire : Main hall (with plastic chairs), lounge (with comfortable chairs and partitions). There is also a kitchen and separate gents & ladies toilets. We are hoping to improve disabled access in the future, but the front entrance has 2 steps at the moment.
The hall is heavily used every week by a wide range of community groups, serving Newark and district, but there are some slots when it may be hired either by regular or occasional users.
The hall is available for hire in full or in part for charities, schools and community groups, businesses (in ways that serve the community) or private individuals. Different hire rates apply, depending on the type of user, with concessions for charities. The hall and lounge may be hired separately.
There is a no alcohol and no smoking policy for hall hirers. For details of availability and current prices, please contact the Booking Secretary, Roger Peacock ( tel 677774,evenings). A deposit is required to secure a booking.
